MRD-70 AM/FM/CD/MP3 Multi-Zone Component System
Perfect for larger vessels where zones need to be established for different areas. This stereo system consists of:
1) Main box that contains a CD player that plays CDs burned with MP3 files, AM/FM radio, 180 watt amplifier and connectors. This box must be mounted in an accessible area so that a CD can be inserted when necessary.
2) Display controller that can be mounted up to 60 feet away from the main box and controls all the functions of the stereo. The display can be flush mounted or bracket mounted to accomodate virtually any location.
3) 10 foot cable to connect the controller to the main box. (additional cables are sold separately in 30 and 60 foot lengths)
Additional display controllers are available (sold separately). Up to 4 total controllers can be connected to the MRD-70 at one time.
Purchase an MZ100 zone amplifier (sold separately) for each area of your vessel and control the volume independently (see the example layouts below).
Attach an XM Satellite Receiver via the IXM-10 Interface Adapter and control it via all of your display controllers.
Audio input for each zone is independent. For example, you can listen to FM Radio in the salon while you listen to a CD at the Helm.
A built in intercom system allows you to communicate between zones.
Auxilliary inputs allow you to connect an MP3 player or a television, etc.
Wireless remote ready (sold separately). Point it at the display controller to adjust your stereo.
