For Sirius Satellite Radio reception with all current JBL Sirius Ready Marine Stereos
If you have an older stereo and your owners manual calls for the JBL SIR2.5 satellite receiver you can use this reciever instead, but you will need an extra adapter (model SIRI30ADP sold separately). The SIR2.5 is discontinued and no longer available.
Sirius requires a monthly subscription fee. Sign up instructions included.
Stereos that use this receiver have model numbers end in .3 or higher (for example MR18.3) and require this satellite receiver. Older models that end in .2 or below (for example MR18.2) can also use this receiver, but require the adapter cable (model SIRI30ADP sold separately). Check your stereo owners manual for more information or call Prospec Electronics (JBL Marine) at 800-394-1914 to confirm what you need.
