Excellent sound for the price!

Well, I added these to my boat as a second pair of speakers with my Sony head unit. They sound terrible with the 17w rms/channel that my head unit (and most others) put out. I should have done more research since these speakers have a minimum (continuous) rms rating of 200w each! Don't even consider getting these unless you're going to add a high-powered amp. I'm thinking of switching these out for lower power rated 6x9's if I can find some. It also is an odd size for marine speakers and now I'm stuck with these 6x9 holes I cut. Good luck.
Retailer's Note All speakers will sound better with an amp if they can handle the power, but there is no such thing as minimum RMS wattage for a speaker. This customer must have had some other problem with his system.
